STAFF INFORMATION

The center director is responsible for teacher supervision and for overall program management.

Teachers are responsible for developing, conducting and supervising activities within their classroom. Teachers are group leaders and responsible for the care and education of the children assigned to them. They are under the direction and supervision of the director. The teacher may be the staff person with whom your child creates the closest bond.

Assistant teachers are under the direction of the teacher and director. Their main responsibility is to assist in providing a safe, positive and healthy environment for the children. Work-study students are sometimes hired for these positions. The assistant teacher may be the staff person with whom your child creates the closest bond.

The staff is dedicated to providing excellent care and education to each child. Staff members receive ongoing professional development training and education throughout the year. Examples include, training from the Teaching Research Early Childhood Training Department, professional conferences, college courses, and self-study courses.

Volunteer and practicum students are a great help to us in the center, and greatly improve the child to teacher ratio. They are students and/or parents who are trained by the staff. They work with the children under direct staff supervision.
